Yup, he’s looking to leverage the barter system in order to get himself a lawyer. As the Staten Island Advance (pronounced add-vance for the uninitiated) reports:
Anthony Davino has plastered fliers around the new Staten Island Courthouse in St. George offering to exchange his electrical know-how for legal representation in his pending divorce case.
“I’m sure there’s some attorney who purchased a house and could use my services. I’m in the electrical business 20 years. I can wire homes from soup to nuts,” Davino, the owner of A. Davino Electrical Contracting in Manhattan, said Monday in a telephone interview. “I figured I’d go old-school to barter my services.”
I watch all those HGTV shows — re-doing the electrical is always an unwanted expense. This idea might just work out for everybody.
Davino has reportedly received several inquiries. Here’s hoping his outside-the-box thinking lands him the lawyer he needs.
