Sex Blogger Finds Love At Milbank

Former Capitol Hill staffer/sex blogger/author/bankrupt babe Jessica Cutler has taken a husband. According to the Washington Post:

Jessica Cutler, 30, the Hill aide turned “Washingtonienne” sex blogger turned author, to Manhattan lawyer Charles Rubio, 28. … The couple plan to wed at New York City Hall on an early December weekday, followed by a happy-hour reception. (Not pregnant, in case you’re wondering.) How’d they meet? “Randomly in a bar,” Cutler told us. “I wish I had a more romantic story to tell you!”

Isn’t that always the way? You write stories about the exciting escapades of others while you yourself marry a lawyer you met in a bar. Yawn.

The bridegroom is Milbank junior associate Charles Rubio. His firm bio tells us he graduated from UT and received his law degree from NYU.

Of course, the young Mr. Rubio might want to keep a close eye on his Milbank bucks. Clear as we can tell, his new wife was bankrupt before he graduated from law school. As ATL mentioned back then:

Okay, here’s how we see it. Jessica Cutler, aka “Washingtonienne,” landed a $300,000 book deal in the wake of the blog scandal. Her book was picked up for possible conversion into a half-hour HBO comedy (Sarah Jessica Parker producing) — presumably more moolah. And, according to rumor, Cutler earned a six-figure payday for posing nude in Playboy.

So where did all that money go? Is it possible for one person to blow that much on, as Cutler says on her personal website, “slutty clothes and drugs”?

But maybe Cutler has learned from her brush with crushing debt. A City Hall wedding is fiscally conservative, and the couple must know by now that they shouldn’t count on a huge Biglaw bonus to bail them out of financial strife.
