ATL March Madness Elite Eight: Which Perk Do You Want From Your Firm?

We move on to the Elite Eight and learn that lawyers want travel more than kids. Which sounds about right.

The first round of voting in this year’s ATL March Madness bracket has come to an end. This year we featured unique fringe benefits provided by law firms and corporate America to determine which perk you want your firm to offer. Did you know some of these options were even out there?

After the first round, the law firm bracket went chalk.

Which probably says a lot about how weak sauce law firm benefits are generally that there’s only 4 really good perks out there. The pack mentality of law firms strikes again! As we recount every year at bonus time, the mentality of the overwhelming majority of law firms is, “Why offer one penny or benefit over the competition?”

Meanwhile, the corporate America bracket was all about upsets.

More accurately, this bracket showed that ATL readers are either (a) real go-getters or (b) could give three s**ts less about kids. I’m guessing the latter. You even rejected adoption services to get poked with sharp objects. Frankly, I voted the same way, but I was surprised at how overwhelmingly the readership rejected a perk like egg freezing that is lauded in the press.

Well, let’s go voting.
