Rule No. 1 of politics: When you have the votes, you vote. When you don’t, you talk. And Kavanaugh and his allies are having to do a lot of talking right now.

It seems the fate of his nomination will be decided based on the testimony he and Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused the judge of attempting to rape her while they were in high school, are scheduled to provide to the Senate on Thursday.
