When last we checked in with Goodwin tax partner Alex Apostolopoulos, his disagreement with his neighbors had gotten all slur-y. Back in November, Apostolopoulos responded to an email sent to his entire building and — with his firm email address and completely off topic — ranted (using antiquated, offensive language) about one of his neighbors and their children.
Now it seems the relationship between the neighbor and Apostolopoulos has deteriorated even further. A new TikTok account (NYCfamof5) has popped up that features videos purportedly of the Biglaw partner peering into the window of a neighbor’s apartment. According to the account, the window is accessible from the roof of the building and leads to a bedroom with children inside. The footage, all taken at night, shows the man looking into the neighbor’s home, frequently with a flashlight. While no information is provided about what caused the spat between the neighbors (the email traffic Above the Law reviewed in November referenced Apostolopoulos’s noise complaints about the children, but not more specific issues), nothing can possibly justify the disturbing behavior on display in the videos.
There’s a fair amount of content on the account, but these are, for my money, the most jaw dropping.
The sheer gall of the last video — to smile like that as you peer into someone else’s home… it’s chilling.

According to the TikTok account, Apostolopoulos’s actions have been reported to the New York Police Department, but no action has been taken.
In reporting this story it came to Above the Law’s attention that Apostolopoulos is no longer on Goodwin’s website.

Above the Law reached out to the firm, and they provided the following statement: “While we cannot comment on personnel issues, we can confirm that Alex Apostolopoulos is no longer an active partner of the firm.” Which, at least feels like some consequence for the deeply problematic behavior displayed in the footage.
