Lawyers Share Their Deepest Secrets Anonymously On Twitter
Perhaps this can be the first step in opening up a dialogue about what it means to be a lawyer.
This experiment was inspired by this Tweet from @ByCommonConsent, who had the clever idea of using the DM function on Twitter to have people share their secrets.
I was surprised at some of what was shared. It was intimate, vulnerable, and honest. I was skeptical about trying the experiment myself, since a majority of my followers are lawyers. But, the responses I received blew me away.
Why Do AI And Legal Professionals Make The Perfect Partnership?
I wanted to write this post to share some of it because so often, lawyers feel isolated in their experience, in their struggles. Often, I hear from lawyers who are struggling with depression, alcohol, or substance abuse, and the most common thing I hear is this — I feel so alone.
Perhaps this can be the first step in opening up a dialogue about what it means to be a lawyer. After all, lawyers are only human and as humans, subject to human experiences.
