‘Contracting System Selection’ Roundtable Set for December

The second in a three-part ‘In-house Contracting Best Practices’ series of events.

Contracting is a key task in every legal department and can be a huge investment of an organization’s resources and funds. For this reason, choosing the right contracting system is critical to establishing a seamless contracting management process.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 9:00 AM to noon, ZentLaw, LawDesk360 and UpLevel Ops in conjunction with Evolve the Law, will hold their last contracting roundtable discussion for the year that addresses “In-house Contracting System Selection and Implementation” at Star Space Sunnyvale. The discussion will again be led by legal industry pioneers,  Stephanie Corey, co-founder of UpLevel Ops, a legal strategy and operations consulting firm, and Monica Zent, founder of the AI-powered workflow collaboration platform LawDesk360 and the innovative alternative legal solutions provider ZentLaw.

This roundtable will focus specifically on how to select a contracting system, key considerations to think about and baseline requirements. Participants will learn how to prepare for eventual implementation, testing, validation and various other critical steps in this process.

“We’ve all heard the stories of in-house procurements of technology that aren’t the right fit for the legal department’s needs, causing lost time and money,” said Zent. “By providing attendees with best practices and a clear checklist of actionable items, we hope to prevent that by choosing the right in-house contracting system the first time.”

“So many in-house legal teams have a disconnect when it comes to their needs and the technology they are currently using, if any,” said Corey. “Selecting a contracting system that’s right for your department can be a complex endeavor, so we’re excited to have a panel of experts that can help our attendees through the process.”

Joining Corey and Zent on the panel are:

  • Sangeetha Raghunathan, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Earnin
  • Tal Samet, Director and Assistant General Counsel at Marvell Semiconductor

Earlier events in this series focused on contracting readiness and evaluating your in-house contracting needs and resources.
