Clio

Clio has acquired CalendarRules and Lawyaw

CalendarRules provides automated court rules-based calendaring for law firms and powers the Court Rules feature in Clio. With Clio’s focus on helping lawyers better manage their busy schedules, the acquisition was a natural next step in the companies’ long-standing partnership.

Lawyaw and Clio have had a productive working relationship for several years, including a long-standing data integration. Lawyaw was also the first document automation company to offer an app inside of Clio’s app store.

Clio has launched a Complete Guide to Starting a Law Firm: Setting up a new firm for success can be easier with this guide, supported by insights and advice from legal experts and successful founding partners.

The 9th Annual Clio Cloud Conference will take place virtually October 26-29, 2021, attracting thousands of lawyers and law firms of all sizes. This year, it’s returning to you virtually, so you can experience learning-intensive workshops and sessions, revolutionary keynotes, and so much more — from anywhere.

LawPay

LawPay has announced the launch of a new payment option, ClientCredit. ClientCredit is exclusively available through LawPay and allows individual clients to pay for legal services over time, while firms receive 100% of their invoiced amount upfront.

ClientCredit will allow law firm clients to have more control over their finances, empowering them to predict and budget their costs for legal services. The ClientCredit option will be for individuals that are looking for more flexibility on payments and will allow them to select the attorney they want based on their needs. With ClientCredit, law firms will still receive 100% of their payment upfront. Clients utilizing this option will have the buy now, pay later option.

ClientCredit will reach LawPay’s legal audience in the coming months as a phased rollout of the product and will continue throughout early 2022. Click here for more

MyCase

MyCase is launching a new integration with Smith.ai, a leading virtual receptionist service. Using this integration, MyCase customers can spend more time focused on practicing law without ever having to worry about missing an incoming call, no matter when it comes in, day or night.

Smith.ai never sleeps and will respond to clients no matter the time of day. This means that MyCase customers can stay focused on what matters knowing MyCase & Smith.ai are handling client communications for their firms. Click here for more

MyCase has also released rules-based calendaring. With this new integration, you can spend less time managing deadlines and more time on what really matters.

Calculating deadlines manually takes a lot of time and can lead to errors – and missed deadlines can lead to malpractice. To complicate matters further, court rules and deadlines change often, which means that even more time is required to regularly revisit whether court rules have changed. Click here for more
