Law Firm Donates School Supplies To Elementary School

There are more ways to give back than with pro bono hours!

black child schoolTeaching ain’t easy. Not only do teachers have to compete with Roblox for their attention, they have to do their job with dwindling resources! Take Wisconsin, for example, where their budget cuts have been so severe that they’ve considered closing schools. Teachers often have to dip into their own pockets to get the materials they need to teach. Thankfully, members of their community chip in to pick up the slack. WKOW has coverage:

Lake View Elementary hosted a school supply giveaway, thanks to a donation from Pemberton Personal Injury Law Firm.

“I think it’s very important that when kids go back to school they have everything they need to succeed,” said William Pemberton, Founder of Pemberton Personal Injury Law Firm. “School is hard enough and we want to put the kids in the best possible position to succeed.”

Giving back to your community is one of the best things you can do as a lawyer. One of the other best things is nailing a cross examination:

That said, it can be very hard to get witnesses where you want them — just ask any prosecutor who’s had the recent pleasure of cross examining Lil Woody. Not only is making sure elementary kids have the supplies they need to learn much easier than cross examining hostile witnesses, you won’t have to worry about if enjoying it makes you evil.
