It's Official: Sophia Chua-Rubenfeld, aka the Tiger Cub, Has Made Her College Decision!

Where’s she going? Let’s find out….

In case you’ve been living under the proverbial rock for the past few months, Sophia Chua-Rubenfeld is the oldest daughter of Amy Chua, Yale Law School professor and Tiger Mom, and Jed Rubenfeld, fellow YLS professor and bestselling author. When the brainy and beauteous Sophia got into Harvard and Yale, the news was viewed as affirmation for Chua’s controversial and strict approach to parenting.

Since then, the world has been waiting for news of Sophia’s Choice. Today she announced her college decision on her blog, new tiger in town:

Have you decided where you’re going next year?

Somewhere wicked awesome.

In case you don’t get the reference, the term “wicked” originated in Boston — the home of Harvard (technically Cambridge, but still the Boston area).

Congratulations, Sophia! We knew all along that you’d make the right choice. 😉

The photos of Sophia and her photogenic family hanging out with celebrities at the Time 100 cocktail party are pretty amazing. Professor Amy Chua, by the way, looks awesome — more like a sister than a mother to Sophia and Lulu.

Also, for those of you who questioned whether this was really Sophia Chua-Rubenfeld’s blog, this post should dispel all doubt. Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Congrats again, Sophia! Welcome to the Harvard Club.
