Legally Themed Halloween Costume Contest: 2011

Oh Halloween, a time when the keenest minds have an opportunity to dress up as obscure legal concepts that will baffle their friends. But not Above the Law readers. Oh, we get the jokes, all the jokes. Which is probably a little sad....

This entry from a group of University of Minnesota Law School 2Ls requires a little explanation. They are the Bill of Rights. They explain:

1) Freedom of Speech with a ripped flag, Tinker v. Des Moine armband,
and F*** the Draft jean jacket
2) The right to “Bear” Arms
3) The right against “quarter”ing soldiers,
4) TSA agent with handprints in inappropriate places
5) A mime with drugs and blood, right to remain silent
6) Race car driver with a judge robe on, right to a speedy trial
7) A jury box with a price tag of “over $20.00,” right to a jury
8) Dominatrix, cruel and unusual punishment
9) We asked our former dean, Robert Stein, to explain in laymen’s
terms, what the 9th amendment stands for, he said, well the Supreme
Court has really neglected to interpret it, so I’m really not sure.
Hence, a homeless person with a sign that says “Will Bluebook for
food”
10) A Minnesota Superhero, state’s rights
