USC Law's Snitch Patrol: Episode Two

Last week, we covered the apparent epidemic of snitching happening at USC Gould School of Law. A person who sympathized with the snitch wrote a sarcastic email making fun of those who were outraged by the tattletale. And he was just warming up. Read on for updates, amusement, and enlightenment....

STUDENT RESPONSE #2:

I honestly cannot believe that someone complained about this class. This class is one of the only classes in law school that you actually learn things that are useful in real life. Sometimes the guest speakers are not great and sometimes the readings are not fun but how many other classes in law school actually teach you something that you can use in real life – and by a professor who understands and appreciates the shitty parts of being a law student.

It is not fair to the rest of the people in the class that you have done this. Because you felt the way you did and said something to the administration you have affected the ability for the rest of us to continue to enjoy the class. In addition, it appears as if Professor Levinson will not be returning to USC next semester (his class was full and closed as of yesterday) and there were some of us who were going to take directed research with him next semester.

To the person who did this, I would appreciate you telling me or someone else who you have spoken with in order to complain about Levinson because I, along with some other students, would like to go to that same person, and explain that we are all happy with Levinson and the way he teaches.

Oh and by the way, Levinson was NOT included on this email…in case you were wondering.

Have a good rest of your day.
