Associate Counsel (Transactions) For Hedge Fund Manager

This position requires a JD and excellent credentials. This individual must possess good judgment and communication skills (in writing and speaking) in addition to strong working knowledge of bankruptcy law, credit and distressed work. Experience with the Advisers Act, the Securities Act and the Exchange Act is a plus. The candidate must be able to identify real issues and adapt before the issues become problems. This individual will assist on transactions, trading issues, administrative issues and provide front-line judgment.

The ideal candidate would have between 2 and 4 years of experience at a law firm and/or an asset manager. The candidate should be skilled in distressed asset transactions (the entire cycle, from asset origination through pre-trade diligence, confirmation negotiation, trading and restructuring, whether through bankruptcy or private transactions), participation arrangements and swap transactions (ISDAs) and be familiar with the LSTA and LMA. In addition, the candidate should be friendly, very intelligent, a team player, pro-active and must be able to navigate pressure filled situations with integrity, patience and perseverance.
