Kim Davis Rejects Yet Another Same-Sex Marriage License?

Who were the denied applicants? It seems one was Jesus Christ himself.

The media has been enthralled by the tale of Kim Davis, the Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples because to do so would conflict with her religious beliefs. The defiant county clerk was eventually held in contempt and jailed after she continued to refuse marriage licenses to gay couples, despite being ordered by Judge David Bunning to grant them. After a weekend spent behind bars, she was released, but with the caveat that she not interfere with her deputies’ issuance of marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

Less than a month after Bunning’s judicial decree was issued, has Kim Davis fallen back on her bad habits? Her office has denied yet another same-sex marriage license, and according to court documents, it’s the only same-sex marriage license that’s been refused to a couple by the Rowan County Clerk’s Office in the past two weeks.

Who were the denied applicants?

According to a status report filed yesterday, a gentleman arrived at the Rowan County Clerk’s Office in search of a marriage license that would permit him to marry Jesus. Bear in mind that Jesus wasn’t this man’s Hispanic fiancé, but Jesus H. Christ himself.

Here’s an amazing account of what happened, per the court filing:

Dear Lord, that was awesome. Thanks for taking one for the team, Jesus.
