So Maybe This Affluenza Thing Really Was B.S. -- Arrest Warrant Issued

Probation was apparently too difficult for this delicate little snowflake.

Do you remember Ethan Couch? It’s cool if you don’t, but you probably remember his defense, affluenza. He’s the Texas teen who made headlines around the country when he managed to avoid jail time after taking responsibility for a drunk driving crash that killed four people. His attorneys argued, and the judge bought, that Couch was just too privileged and rich to be held responsible for his actions. In lieu of actual jail time, Couch got 10 years of probation.

Apparently even that was too difficult for this delicate little snowflake.

As NBC/DFW is reporting, it seems Couch has gone AWAL and a warrant for his arrest has been issued:

Couch’s attorneys, Regan Wynn and Scott Brown, released the following statement Tuesday afternoon:

“We have recently learned for last several days the juvenile probation officer has been unable to make contact with Ethan or his mother, with whom he’s been residing. It’s our understanding that the court has issued a directive to apprehend to have Ethan detained (sic) because he is out of contact with his probation officer. We do not have any further information concerning this situation. It would not be appropriate for us to publicly discuss this matter further at this time.”

Yup, Couch and his mommy just ghosted.

This comes after allegations made over Twitter earlier this month, that Couch was violating his probation by playing beer pong:

Earlier this month, a six-second video posted on Twitter showed young men playing beer pong. The person who posted the tweet accused Couch of violating his probation, which prohibits Couch from driving and using drugs or alcohol.

That has to be the single most bro-ish way to (allegedly) violate probation. The beer pong incident was already under investigation by the Tarrant County prosecutors before Couch went missing.
