Conversation With Zapproved CEO: Monica Enand

Chatting with the Zapproved team and their energy is unmistakable.

zapproved_logoOne of the reasons I find the legal tech space fascinating is that no two companies’ stories are the same. Some companies, like Everlaw (who we covered recently) have followed the traditional path of Silicon Valley venture backed startups, others like CloudNine Discovery and kCura started as consulting companies before morphing into software companies and some companies, like Zapproved started with one focus and kept iterating and iterating until they got it right.

And I think it’s safe to say that Zapproved has gotten it right. The Oregon based company, which has been growing rapidly, has raised over $20M in funding, most of which came in a $15M investment from private equity group K1 Investment Management which they closed last year, has 70 employees and are working with a stable of Fortune 500 companies. I had a chance to chat with the Zapproved team earlier this week and their energy is unmistakable. I’m counting on that energy translating to intimate, text based, asynchronous conversations because today I’m hosting their CEO and founder Monica Enand for a conversation.
