Harry Reid has recently reinvigorated the push to have Merrick Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court considered by the Senate, saying he will use procedural measures to jam up the Senate till they hold hearings. In April, all but three of Chief Judge Garland’s former clerks signed a letter supporting his nomination; why did three former clerks abstain?
