This is how you really know you’ve made it. When Drake — the man who brought the world “Hotline Bling” — decides dressing up like you is a great costume, that’s it — you can retire because it isn’t getting much better than that.

Curtis Mallet-Prevost Colt & Mosle partner Steven Reisman is known as Steve the Lawyer in hip-hop crowds. He hangs out backstage at concerts of acts like Jay-Z, 2 Chainz, Swizz Beatz, DJ Khaled, and of course Drake, and hands out stacks of $2 bills. That’s why we call him the Coolest Biglaw Partner.

Reisman is a huge music fan, though his area of legal expertise is bankruptcy, not anything related to the entertainment industry. His quirky $2 habit has gotten Reisman a lot of attention, and according to Complex, Drake is a big fan:

We heard stories about Reisman going outside of concerts, and handing out front-row tickets to fans who couldn’t afford to cop them. About his first encounter with Drake, who, at the close of one show, pointed out to Reisman in the crowd, and told everyone that he had given him one of the greatest fan experiences of his—yes: Drake’s—life that night, and how he knew every lyric to every Drake song. “I was about to fuck the words up, and you knew them,” Drake says to Reisman, before walking off stage.

But not before Reisman could hand him a $2 bill.

And now the ultimate homage — being Drake’s Halloween costume.
