ATL March Madness Final Four: What’s The Best Fringe Benefit Around?

Which of these four real perks do you want from your employer?

We’ve whittled the field down to the Final Four. Two high-quality perks actually offered by law firms on one side, two high-quality perks you can only get in Corporate America on the other. One of these four will be the perk voters most want to see their firms adopt.

But first, let’s recap the last round.

Cooley LLP’s “Snooze or Cruise” program, where bosses reward good work with two-hour “get out of work free” cards helped land the firm on the 100 Best Companies To Work For, but it couldn’t stand up to Bartlit Beck’s (which autocorrect is still trying to spell like the pear) extravagant offer to spring for an all-expense, four-day paid vacation. Bartlit CRUSHED Cooley 93-7 to move into a Final Four berth.

Meanwhile, Finnegan Henderson (and a few others) who offer tuition repayment plans to help staff who want to make the leap to law school pulled off a minor upset by unseating Quinn Emanuel’s $2000 to work anywhere program. In a 70-30. Which is probably for the best because a Final Four matchup between “we’ll pay everything to send you on vacation” vs. “we’ll give you $2000 to go somewhere and keep working” was not going to be much of a contest.

On the Corporate side, an 8-seed has made it all the way to the big-time. Evernote pays for cleaners to tidy up your house while you’re working and the voters must be messy people because they chose this over S.C. Johnson’s private concierge service. Not sure about this one. How messy can the house get if you’re never able to leave the office?

Finally, voters preferred Genentech’s 5th seeded Dog-Sitting services over Facebook’s acupuncture by a 2 to 1 margin. In other news, 33 percent of voters are cat people.
