Part of being a legal academic is shameless self-promotion. In an ideal world, it might go something like this.
Professor LawProfBlawg had an exceptionally busy month. First and foremost, to demonstrate that he is an engaged scholar, he published his article Is This Title Kind of Leading in Terms of Its Question? Yes! in the Harvard Law Review. The article describes in great detail the trials and tribulations of getting student editors to notice an article’s bling.
Professor LawProfBlawg presented his article at a conference at Yale Law School titled Should Your Article Title Start with A Question Mark? Many other prominent scholars, mentioned here, were present, demonstrating that, by association, LawProfBlawg is a prominent scholar.

Professor LawProfBlawg was also elected into the American Law Institute, demonstrating wide-spread recognition of the importance of his scholarship in academia, and also that he was recommended by prior ALI inductees at his school.
Professor LawProfBlawg filed a friend of the court brief before the Supreme Court of the United States. While it is probably not likely that it will have any effect on the outcome, it will at least give the appearance of having done so because LawProfBlawg is mentioned in the same sentence as SCOTUS.
Professor LawProfBlawg will be speaking at AALS on two panels. The first, titled The most absolutely clever and elaborative title we could think of, will include famous panelists such as Professors Brilliant, Genius, Quirky, and Funny. LawProfBlawg’s second panel, titled Why Legal Scholarship is Stuck in a Rut, will include such panelists as Professors Funny, Quirky, Genius, and Brilliant.
Professor LawProfBlawg has authored a casebook on the important topic of the legal implications of time travel, very coolly called Back to the Future Law (Foundation Press 2015). The casebook explores the legal implications of killing Hitler when he’s just a baby, and stopping your mother from marrying your dad. This book is so cool and so elite it only has one adoption (LawProfBlawg).

Professor LawProfBlawg also was awarded one of the 30 prizes we have here at the law school. This time, he was awarded the Happy Go Lucky Teaching Award. This will compliment nicely his Deadly Serious Socratic Method Teaching Award he picked up last year.
Professor LawProfBlawg also went to the Chianti region of Italy to present his paper titled How Do I Get The School To Pay For This Trip? I know. WINE LAW!
Finally, to demonstrate his human side, Professor LawProfBlawg assisted in the construction of housing for the homeless last month. This month, LawProfBlawg will be representing the homeless in condemnation proceedings concerning the houses he helped build.
