A close-up of a mosquito on a white backgroundThe good news is we’re all (probably) not going to die of Zika. The bad news is the officials holding the purse strings to put America’s eradication plan in action are dragging their feet.

At last week’s ABA Annual Conference, I sat down with James Hodge Jr., professor of Public Health Law and Ethics at ASU’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, author (along with Lawrence O. Gostin) of Is The United States Prepared For A Major Zika Virus Outbreak?, and Captain Kenneth L. Dominguez MD, MPH, an epidemiologist for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to discuss news of Zika reaching Miami, what we can do about it, and the legal and political hurdles we have to overcome.
