Answer: William Lowe Rice of Blandin & Rice, a Cleveland law firm founded in 1893 that is now called Jones Day. The firm earned its more familiar name in 1938 when then-managing partner Thomas Jones merged with Day, Young, Veach & LeFever to create Jones Day.
