Reflecting On Those We Lost In 2017

Many law firms die. Not every law firm really lives.

As the new year dawns, Above the Law would like to look back on those we lost in 2017. Specifically, the law firms we lost in the past year. Firms meet their end (or announce they’re about to) in all manner of ways. We remember them always.

Cellino & Barnes is, of course, not so much dead as the world’s most successful zombie firm, having pulled down millions since the legal battle between its named partners began and showing no signs of slowing down until this is all resolved.

This video owes a tremendous debt to a Christine Simmons article in the New York Law Journal discussing the toll 2017 took on law firms. We just added some audio-visual.
