Join Us At The Networking Event To Get Women A Seat At The Table

10/20/30 Networking Event: Getting Women A Seat At The Table at Techshow.

Facts: 10 percent of corporate boards are held by women, 20 percent of law firm partners are women, and 30 percent of judges are women.

That simply isn’t good enough.

Above the Law and Evolve Law are hosting a networking event at the ABA Techshow in Chicago to connect the doers across the full spectrum of the profession — law firms, legal departments, law schools, service providers, technology companies, and consultants — building relationships so we can hire, promote, buy from, and support women in the industry.

The event takes place on Wednesday, March 7th, from 8:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. after the Techshow Welcome Reception and Startup Alley. The networking evening is open to all stakeholders committed to getting women a seat at the table. It’ll be held at the Boarding House: 720 N Wells Street, Wine Cellar, Chicago, IL.

Registration is $10 and 100 percent of the fees collected will go to the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic (DVLC).

DVLC provides free civil legal assistance to victims of domestic violence in Cook County. They are dedicated to keeping families safe during an emergency and stay safe and independent after the crisis has passed. Through effective, full-service legal representation they help clients with issues related to orders of protection, divorce, custody of children, immigration, housing and economics. Their staff worked with over 1,300 clients last year to navigate the legal system and empower them to build new lives for themselves and their families.

So come to the event and make one connection. You never know where that could lead.
