Former Biglaw Lawyer Goes After Ted Cruz In GOP Primary, Describes His Policies As '*#!*&@ Great'

Local lawyer challenges Ted Cruz in GOP primary with fun, wacky commercial.

Ted Cruz, the Canadian politician that former Speaker of the House John Boehner dubbed “Lucifer in the flesh,” is relatively secure from the risk of losing his Senate seat in November. Texas remains a safely Republican state and if Texans are growing weary of being a laughing stock because of “Lyin’ Ted,” they’re not fed up enough to let one of those Dem-o-crats take office.

But Texans have an opportunity to put a stop to the Cruz career next week. On March 6, Cruz will face a handful of competitors in the GOP primary and one former Biglaw associate is trying his best to take Cruz out.

Stefano de Stefano is a Fordham Law grad and former Curtis Mallet-Prevost and in-house energy lawyer who’s making a go of it in the Senate primary. He’s earned the endorsement of the Dallas Morning News.

And he’s made an ad so unconventional and wacky that you have to wonder if Texas Law Hawk is offering some multimedia advice. Here are some salient points:

Seriously, de Stefano’s policies are… not f**king great, but they’re not loony, which puts him well ahead of Cruz from the starting gate.
