Live Conversation From The 2018 ACC Legal Operations Conference

There's a focus on practical topics like "what can I do right now to improve my law department."

Starting today, in-house attorneys, legal operations professionals, law firm attorneys, and tech companies from around the world have descended on Chicago to share knowledge and best practices about how to create a cutting-edge legal department. Although I’ve covered legal operations events in the past, this is my very first ACC Legal Operations Conference, but what I appreciate about these shows is that they tend to focus on less nebulous topics like “the future of the legal industry” and more on practical topics like “what can I do right now to improve my law department.” Joining me to cover the event is the amazingly talented Jae Um, formerly the Director of Strategic Planning and Analysis at Seyfarth and now the founder of Six Parsecs. If you’ve been following #legaltech Twitter recently, you’ve likely noticed Jae’s posts, which have been lauded by many (including yours truly) for being a breath of fresh air in a publishing environment that likes to rehash the same old innovate-or-else, robots-are-coming, buzz-fluff.

Jae and I are going to attend sessions, speak to conference attendees, and listen in like flies-on-the-wall (in a totally non-creepy way). Feeling FOMO about not being able to attend the conference and looking for the next best thing? Sign up and follow Jae’s and my conversation.
