When Milbank unveiled the new $190K salary scale, Proskauer became the first Biglaw firm to hop aboard, jumping on the very next day. In a June 5 memo, the firm raised associate salaries in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and D.C. (which excludes Proskauer’s offices in Newark, New Orleans, and Boca Raton).
And then… nothing. While Simpson tossed in summer bonuses and Cravath raised senior associate salaries a bit over the Milbank scale, Proskauer’s initial match faded into memory.

Now, on the cusp of the July 1 effective date of the new raises, Proskauer has dispelled any anxiety among their associates with an updated memo confirming that they will be matching the Cravath-adjusted salary figures and offering the Simpson summer bonuses.
Loyal Proskauer associates doubtless expected this, but it’s still good to get the announcement out of the way.
