The Tech-Savvy Law Librarian

The law library is often the gateway to introducing the latest in legal tech to lawyers.

Above the Law and the Evolve the Law community are working to bring innovation to the forefront of law firm practice and management — and the law library is often the gateway to introducing the latest in legal tech to the lawyers. The modern law librarian must exhibit expertise in legal doctrine and research while simultaneously understanding how technological advances are reshaping knowledge management and the work of attorneys today.

Will you be attending the annual meeting of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) this year, or otherwise be in the Baltimore area on Sunday, July 15? If so, please join me and Dean Sonderegger, Vice President and General Manager for Legal Markets and Innovation at Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. (and Above the Law columnist), as we discuss “How Can Law Librarians Drive the Future of Law Practice.”

Our conversation will be followed by lively and entertaining two-minute elevator pitches from legal tech innovators, followed by four minutes of Q&A from myself and from Marlene Gebauer, Director of Knowledge Solutions at Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Innovators pitching will include CasetextCourtroom Insight, and SimplyAgree.

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and programming will begin at 6:30 p.m. Stay afterwards for continued networking, demos, and cocktails.

You can obtain your tickets here. All ticket proceeds will be donated to Maryland Legal Aid’s Lawyer in the Library program.

We look forward to seeing you in Baltimore on July 15!
