A Biglaw firms go, Choate Hall & Stewart is on the small side. The firm only has its Boston office, and about 200 attorney, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t getting on the associate raise train!
On Friday the firm announced raises for associates, counsel, staff scientists and patent agents. The associate/counsel raises are on the now familiar market scale:
While patent agents will receive an extra $7,500 in base compensation and staff scientist get an additional $5,000.

To receive the special bonuses associates (and staff) have to be on track to bill 2,000 hours. However, if that don’t meet that threshold mid year they have the opportunity to make it up and receive the full special bonus at year end.
