'I HATE BLACK PEOPLE' Says Ginni Thomas's Assistant (Yes, Clarence's Wife)
Too Racist For Turning Point USA, Just About Right For Ginni Thomas.
Some days are just a cavalcade of insane crap. Next week I’m sure Above the Law will be back to reporting on how some T14 law school just can’t stock enough soy milk, but right now our editorial calendar is packed with all of the ways the Supreme Court is going to be f*cked for the foreseeable future.
In the latest bit of OH MY GOD WHAT DID I READ, Mediaite is reporting that Ginni Thomas hired a staffer, Crystal Clanton, with a history of making racist comments. Back in December, the New Yorker reported that Clanton, who at the time worked at the conservative student group Turning Point USA, texted co-workers with this delightful message:
I HATE BLACK PEOPLE. Like fuck them all . . . I hate blacks. End of story.

I’ll pause a moment while you wash your eyeballs out.
Anyway, as a result of the controversy Clanton was forced out of the right-wing nonprofit. But fear not, some well-publicized racism is not enough to stop an ambitious white girl. Shortly after she left Turning Point USA, Ginni Thomas hired Clanton to assist with her media ventures.
Since that time, Thomas has travelled with Clanton and publicly lauded her skills:

To be clear, the racist incident the New Yorker publicized was well-known by the time Clanton failed upwards into the employ of Thomas. And, as you might imagine, it reportedly wasn’t the only time Clanton whipped out the old racist stick:
Numerous sources who worked with Clanton detailed how she would exchange racist remarks regularly with other TPUSA staffers — including Alana Mastrangelo, who currently works for the group, and Timox Prax, who was allegedly forced out of TPUSA this year over “bigoted” remarks — using Snapchat.
One such message reviewed by Mediaite features a photo of a man who appears to be Arab and a caption written by Clanton that reads, “Just thinking about ways to do another 9/11.” (The source who provided Mediaite with the image requested it not be published to protect their anonymity.)
And in a move that makes people (rightfully) hate white girls, Clanton has been flaunting the utter lack of consequences for her bold racism:
Clanton “always idolized Ginni,” one source told Mediaite. She flaunts her relationship with the Thomases to conservative friends as a way to prove that the New Yorker‘s publication of her racist text messages did not ruin her career, other sources said. In July, Clanton shared a photo on Instagram of herself, Thomas, and Ginni Thomas having a “great weekend” together.

That’s right, she’s now able to trot out her good friend Clarence just to show how not racist she must really be.
I guess she found a black person she likes — or at least can use.
