Bonus Season Spreads In Biglaw: It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
Hope you had a restful Thanksgiving, because Biglaw bonus season is about to kick into high gear.
It’s the week after Thanksgiving, which is the traditional start of bonus season. This year played on slightly differently when Cravath announced their bonuses a week earlier than usual, but this is usually when Biglaw firms decide to make their bonus announcements. So it’s no surprise that early on the first day back from the long holiday weekend firms are ready with their bonus news.
This morning, Davis Polk got in on the bonus action. They announced they are giving associates market bonuses. The bonuses will be paid out on December 14 — which gives the lucky associates plenty of time to splurge on holiday gifts.
