— White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, in a statement given to Cliff Sims, a former aide to President Trump, after Vanity Fair published of an excerpt from his book, Team of Vipers: My 500 Extraordinary Days in the Trump White House (affiliate link), which described Conway as one of the biggest leakers in the West Wing, “a cartoon villain brought to life.” A source claimed this statement was drafted with the help of her husband, George Conway, who denied his involvement on Twitter.
