Reboot Your Law Firm: An Interactive Day Of Learning

On January 11, 2019, the Atlanta-based Legal Tech Meetup Group will be hosting their annual event, Reboot Your Firm, which is an interactive day of learning where lawyers and their legal staff can bring their laptops and questions to nationally recognized experts to get answers about practice management, outsourcing, firm financials, legal marketing, and more.

This program is not just for lawyers. The agenda is ideal for both legal and non-legal staff. Solos and small law attorneys who make plans to bring office teammates for the day will hit the ground running in 2019 with two times the amount of technology learning under their belts.

This year, the program is kicking off on the roof of Ponce City Market with a workshop run by Zach Pousman of Helpfully, LLC, a leading expert in design-thinking for businesses. Lori Gonzalez of RayNa Corp and Kimberly Bennett will discuss new tools, services, and strategies that lawyers can use to streamline operations and cut costs. And for those who are still new to the idea of bringing technology into their practice, Stephanie Everett and Erin H. Gerstenzang will host a beginner track where lawyers can be introduced to the tech basics of running a practice in 2019.

During the lunch hour Stephanie Everett will share some of the most valuable insights she has collected over the last year as Community Director at Lawyerist.com where she has worked closely with small law firms and solos throughout the country to help them build, improve, and scale their practices.

The rest of the day includes breakout sessions where attendees can pick and choose from topics like practice management, law firm marketing, firm financials, maximizing operations, and legal ethics. These breakout groups are designed to gather smaller groups of attendees together to dig in on an area of focus for the their firm in the New Year.

Finally, after a panel discussion about how the profession is changing, Nicole Abboud of Abboud Media will close out the day with words of inspiration about what the future holds for small law firms by showcasing how lawyers are innovating today to build the law firms of the future.
