What Do Millennial Lawyers Actually Think?

Asking about younger attorneys' priorities.

Given that millennial workers currently make up the largest portion of the U.S. workforce, their distinctive working style has naturally contributed to a shift in workplace priorities that is still taking shape. However, understanding this cohort’s unique perspective is arguably necessary in order to ensure that your firm stays at the forefront of the changing landscape and is able to adapt accordingly to the positive qualities that make millennial generation workers valuable to law firms.

In partnership with our friends at Major Lindsey & Africa, we wanted to delve into the dynamics of this apparent cultural shift within law firms. Starting today, we are running a series of quick surveys intended to capture the viewpoint of younger lawyers and help determine what differentiates them from both their (non-attorney) generational peers and their older colleagues.

Today’s survey (part of a series of three) concerns the ““Priorities” of millennials within the workplace, with this year’s iteration diving deeper into business development experiences. Please take a couple of minutes and tell us what you think. (Please note we are not exclusively interested in hearing from millennials; lawyers of all ages are encouraged to take the survey.)
