Stacey Dash has certainly taken a journey.
From Clueless star to Fox News’s black friend to domestic violence defendant. It turns out marrying a lawyer and popping off about the evils of Black History Month isn’t enough to keep an actress flush with cash, as Dash just filed papers with the court asking for a public defender because she’s broke.
This whole thing reminded me that Cher’s father was rich because he was a “$500-hour litigator” which is what some firms are billing paralegals out for these days. It’s been a hell of a ride since the 90s!

The Law Firm’s Guide To Trust Accounting And Three-Way Reconciliation
Proper trust accounting and three-way reconciliation are essential for protecting client funds and avoiding serious compliance risks. In this guide, we break down these critical processes and show how legal-specific software can help your firm stay accurate, efficient, and audit-ready.
Dash was just arrested for domestic violence after scratching up her fourth husband, lawyer Jeffrey Marty, which was, in fact, way harsh. She claims the scratches were in self-defense after the dipshit Marquette lawyer and Q Anon conspiracy theorist allegedly attempted to choke her and got his kids from a previous marriage to back up his story. You may remember Marty from the time he made up a congressional representative out of thin air to be the first House member to endorse Trump. The real first House member to endorse Trump just took a guilty plea because… criminals.
Seriously, check out this tweeb:
Marty, who’s taken his son Nick, who was 11-years-old at the time, to Trump rallies, chimed in during this BuzzFeed interview to say Hillary Clinton is a serious criminal. Nic said, “Hillary is linked to 46 different deaths,” for which Marty quickly interjected to the reporter, “That’s something he saw on a YouTube video that I did not make.”
“Yeah, he didn’t make that,” Nick said. “But my dad’s like, it’s true.”
“Well, it is true,” Marty agreed, no longer placating his son. “There are a lot of people that have died mysteriously around her. When they were supposed to testify against her — three or four different people. Within a week.”
Marquette should lose its ABA accreditation immediately.

Explore 5 expert-backed reasons law firms are rethinking the billable hour and how legal billing software is leading the way.
Marty has already bailed Dash out of the clink, so they seem to be on good terms, raising the question of how she can possibly be indigent. America’s legal resources are stretched thin as it is, without actresses married to attorneys claiming they’re paupers.
The judge tentatively granted her request but required her to hand over proof of her poverty. We’ll see what that looks like.
