This morning when Davis Polk announced their year-end bonuses that matched the Cravath scale — at a ~15 percent increase over last year’s bonus numbers — plus an added special bonus, well, we knew that Biglaw would respond. Since then, we’ve seen a steady stream of firms matching this scale. And after what has been a relatively quiet bonus season so far, it’s nice to see.
The latest firm to get in on that sweet, sweet bonus action is Willkie Farr & Gallagher. The firm, which took in $986,000,000 in gross revenue in 2020, making it 44th on the Am Law 100, announced bonuses, of both the year-end and special variety.
Unsurprisingly, they matched the prevailing scale:
