Am Law 100 Biglaw Firm Delights Associates With Raises

Money rain, a group of cheering jumping businessmen and a pile of money falling down, financial support and successful business concept illustration Yay, money!

That’s the sentiment making its way through Biglaw as raises have become the order of the day. And the latest firm to announce their own raises is none other than Schulte Roth & Zabel, which took in $444,700,000 in gross revenue in 2020, making it 90th in the Am Law 100.

For those who have not yet memorized the scale, this is the new compensation grid at Schulte:

Class of 2021	$215,000
Class of 2020	$225,000
Class of 2019	$250,000
Class of 2018	$293,500
Class of 2017	$335,000
Class of 2016	$360,500
Class of 2015	$381,000
Class of 2014	$396,500
Class of 2013	$406,500

Tipsters at the firm report:

For what it’s worth, firm leadership sent out the memo first thing this morning and associates are very excited that SRZ matched so quickly. I was on several calls this morning and morale is definitely boosted with this announcement.

And like many of their peer firms, the raises will be retroactive to January 1 and paid on March 18th. Folks in the class of 2012 and more senior will have their compensation communicated individually. Read the full memo on the next page.
