Yes, it’s a gloomy and rainy day here on the East Coast, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to celebrate. There’s Biglaw bonus news coming in and when it’s raining money, well, that’s sure to add a little shimmer of sunshine to your day.

Yesterday, Fenwick & West — a firm with $723,259,000 in gross revenue in 2021, ranking 64th on the Am Law 100 — announced its year-end bonuses. And like so many of its peers, the firm is matching the prevailing Biglaw standard set by Baker McKenzie last month.

Associates in good standing with at least 1,950 creditable hours will receive bonuses on the following schedule:

Associates that billed 2,100 creditable hours will be eligible for additional rewards between $3,000 and $12,000 as part of the firm’s “Triple R” rest, recreation, and relaxation program. The firm is also bringing back its condominium program, paused during the pandemic, for associates that made extraordinary contributions to the firm:

We are bringing this program back for 2023 with condo locations in Hawaii and St. Thomas. This year we will award condo weeks to our attorneys who demonstrated extraordinary institutional contributions to the firm as well as attorneys who were booked to travel to Hawaii or St. Thomas in 2020 but opted out of the condo options offered at that time.

Bonuses will be paid on December 30th. You can read the full memo on the next page.

Remember everyone, we depend on your tips to stay on top of important bonus updates, so when your firm matches, please text us (646-820-8477) or email us (subject line: “[Firm Name] Matches”). Please include the memo if available. You can take a photo of the memo and send it via text or email if you don’t want to forward the original PDF or Word file.
