Outside-Counsel-Logo-2023Earlier this month, in partnership with our friends at Lake Whillans, we released our 2023 Outside Counsel rankings, an annual look at the Biglaw firms most trusted by corporate legal departments. Today, we focus on the law firms rated highest by in-house counsel based on the industries in which they work.

Drawing on input from hundreds of GCs and in-house lawyers in a range of business areas, we’ve compiled rankings for six different sectors: Finance/Banking, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Media & Entertainment, Real Estate, and Technology,

Thirty-one of the 76 firms included in our overall rankings also appear on at least one industry ranking this year. Nine law firms appear on more than one industry list, and the following firms show up in the rankings for three different industries:

  • DLA Piper (ranked in Media & Entertainment, Real Estate, Technology)
  • Jones Day (ranked in Healthcare, Manufacturing, Real Estate)
  • Latham & Watkins (ranked in Finance, Healthcare, Technology)
