Trump Witness/Lawyer/Weirdo Christina Bobb Will Supervise 'Election Integrity' For RNC

For a brief moment on January 7, 2021, it looked like Republican leaders would cough up Trump for good.

“Count me out,” Senator Lindsey Graham said after the Capitol had finally been cleared. Senator Mitch McConnell even seemed open to voting for impeachment.

In the event, Trump simply unhinged his jaw and swallowed the party whole. Kevin McCarthy is out of Congress, McConnell is stepping down as leader, and Ronna Romney McDaniel was drummed out as chair of the Republican National Committee. Whatever comes next will be an unmitigated disaster, but at least there will be moments of high comedy.

Indeed, the fun has already begun! After Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump was named co-chair of the RNC, she turned around and appointed his personal lawyer Christina Bobb as senior counsel of election integrity

Bobb, who worked briefly for the Department of Homeland Security before decamping to the One America News Network, is like the Forrest Gump of Trump legal woes.

During the 2020 election, while she was still a reporter for OAN, she raised money for the Arizona recall and flogged lies about rampant voter fraud. She also trailed around after Rudy Giuliani trying to get Biden’s win overturned by dint of the fake electors scheme.

This act of loyalty earned her a job in Trumpland, where she almost immediately found herself in the middle of the stolen documents debacle. Bobb signed the attestation to the FBI falsely stating that Mar-a-Lago had been searched and there were no more classified documents to be found there. She was on hand when the FBI showed up with a warrant, and claimed on air that the Trump family had watched the raid on the club’s security cameras, and would soon emerge with proof that the FBI had planted documents on poor, innocent Donald Trump.

That never happened, but Bobb was eventually summoned to appear before the grand jury where she had no privilege to assert, having signed the attestation in her role as custodian of records, not as counsel. So, if Judge Aileen Cannon somehow lets the docs case go to trial, Bobb will be a key witness.

Luckily, Bobb will be entirely dependent on Trump’s good graces for her salary!

Bobb’s qualifications to supervise election “integrity” litigation are not immediately clear, although she did write a book in 2023 entitled “Stealing Your Vote: The Inside Story of the 2020 Election and What It Means for 2024.” But Lara Trump is unbothered by this apparent lack of experience.

“To anyone out there who is thinking about cheating in an election, we will go after you. You will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. It is not worth it,” she blathered to Fox’s Maria Bartiromo after blithely declaring that Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to even investigate voting by “illegals.”
