Just when we thought Donald Trump had a bond in place to prevent NY from having to start seizing assets, the government is asking questions about whether or not this bond really has anything behind it. These are probably just a string of clerical errors that Trump can quickly resolve. But it does re-raise the stakes of our asset seizure bracket.
Not that this isn’t all going to end with some seizures since Trump’s bond — even if it survives this inquiry — doesn’t cover the full value of the judgment.
