Back in January 2023, we covered the announcement of Ketanji Brown Jackson’s memoir, “Lovely One.” We knew two things at the time: the title was a translation of her first and middle names, Ketanji Onyika, and that there was no clear release date. We now know when the book will be released: Today! She’s ushering in the release of her book on a cross-country tour. Bloomberg Law has coverage:
Tuesday night’s kickoff event at the Apollo Theater in New York, where jazz greats like Billie Holiday and Miles Davis once performed, is one of at least 15 appearances over four weeks for the first Black woman on the US Supreme Court. The packed schedule includes at least seven sold out shows before Jackson is due back on the bench Oct. 7 to start the court’s new term.

Goes to show that despite the Supreme Court having historically low approval ratings, it really is a Republican justice phenomenon. If you want to make it to one of the shows where Jackson hasn’t already sold out the venue, grab a ticket quickly.
If you can’t make it to one of her appearances in-person, you have a couple of options. You can tune in to the News Hour:
