Kim Kardashian West is getting a ton of media coverage thanks to her decision to pursue a legal career as she works to free wrongfully convicted inmates from prison — and she’s about to get a whole lot more.

Oxygen, a television network that airs true crime programming targeted towards women, recently announced that it’s working on a two-hour documentary that’s dedicated to Kardashian’s legal education and justice work.

The working title of the film is “Kim Kardashian: The Justice Project,” and here’s how it’s described by the network:

Executive produced by Kim Kardashian and Bunim Murray Productions with Gil Goldschein, Julie Pizzi and Farnaz Farjam serving as executive producers.

In June 2018, Kim Kardashian used her global fame to publicly campaign for criminal justice reform by convincing the White House to grant Alice Marie Johnson clemency. Inspired by her work with Johnson, Kardashian has made it her personal mission to lobby for systematic change and advocate for the men and women who she and her legal experts believe have been unfairly sentenced. Now, as she pursues her own career in law, Kardashian is dedicating both personal resources and her public platform to the cause. In this compelling 2-hour documentary, Oxygen will capture Kardashian’s efforts to secure freedom for Americans who she believes have been wronged by the justice system. “Kim Kardashian: The Justice Project” is an exclusive, never before seen look inside her mission to tackle one of America’s most controversial subjects.

In an interview with Newsweek, Rod Aissa, Oxygen’s EVP of Original Programming and Development, praised Kardashian for using her fame for a good cause: “I deeply admire Kim’s dedication to studying the justice system and building a successful track record in helping those without a voice. She’s using her power and influence to open up a dialogue with influential law makers about the need to address unfair sentencing. It’s a real mission for her and we’re excited to document her journey.”

According to TMZ, Kardashian has helped to free 17 prisoners over the course of the past three months, and she’s even teamed up with Cheslie Kryst, the lawyer who recently won the Miss USA pageant, to help even more prisoners.

A truly heartfelt congratulations to Kim Kardashian West on all that she’s achieved thus far in her adventures with the law. Whether you hate her or adore her, she’s doing far more to help others in the criminal justice system than anyone could have possibly imagined, and that’s something worth celebrating.
