Bonuses Coming At The End Of The Month For These Associates

Law firm bonus season isn't over yet!

While most of Biglaw adheres to the “holiday” schedule with their bonus announcements, there are some who make their associates wait until the new year to learn their financial fate. We already discussed Goodwin’s recent announcement, and now it’s time to check in on another firm.

Wilson Sonsini issued its bonus announcement and informed associates that they will be getting paid on January 31st. As one might expect from the West Coast mainstay, they will be matching the Cravath scale in lockstep assuming associates have met their hours:

Class of 2017 — $15,000 (pro-rated)
Class of 2016 — $15,000
Class of 2015 — $25,000
Class of 2014 — $50,000
Class of 2013 — $65,000
Class of 2012 — $80,000
Class of 2011 — $90,000
Class of 2010 — $100,000
Class of 2009 — $100,000

So, no surprises from Wilson Sonsini. The reaction from associates can best be described as “unsurprised.” That might be why it took a week for anyone to send us a copy of the memo. According to one tipster:

I’ve heard nothing either way about the bonuses — but I’ve been too busy with work to do much gossiping!

Fair enough. But don’t let work get in the way of letting your pals at ATL know about your bonus!

We have a cropped copy of the bonus memo on the next page…

Remember, when your firm matches, please text us (646-820-8477) or email us (subject line: “[Firm Name] Matches Cravath”). Please include the memo if available. You can take a photo of the memo and send it via text or email if you don’t want to forward the original PDF or Word file.
