Mid-Level M&A Associate

In collaboration with the hiring partners and internal recruiters at a prestigious NYC law firm, Kinney Recruiting is looking for one or two mid-level corporate associates for the firm's multidisciplinary team in New York. We are seeking high-horsepower, "go-getter" associates who are interested in working with industry leaders in a high-intensity yet supportive environment. Associate staffing for this practice is centralized to ensure associates receive broad exposure to a variety of transactions, including public company mergers, take-private deals, special situations, high-stakes activism defense, proxy fights, and C-suite transitions. QualificationsExperience: 3rd to 6th-year associate with a strong background in M&A. While public company experience is a plus, we are highly open to candidates with a strictly private M&A background, as we believe public-side nuances and securities laws are fully teachable to the right candidate.Academic Excellence: A JD from a nationally ranked US law school is required. Bar admission: Admitted to the New York bar. A good faith estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $260,000 to $390,000.
