We just named the final winning couple in Legal Eagle Wedding Watch for last month. So now voting can commence for Above the Law’s November 2006 Couple of the Month.
If you need to refresh your memory about these different couples, our prior write-ups — with scores, links to their original NYT wedding announcements, and photos (in some cases) — appear after the jump.
But if you’re ready to cast your ballot, perhaps because one of the newlyweds emailed you and asked you to vote for them, here’s the poll:

1. Virginia Lazar, David McAuliffe
Résumé score: 9.0. She went to Boston University and received her law degree from the University of Richmond. The announcement doesn’t specify her current employment. He graduated from Boston College and Harvard Business School, and he’s now a managing director in investment banking at J.P. Morgan Chase (London office). That kind of dough — the only question is whether he makes a seven- or eight-figure income — establishes a floor of 9.0 for their résumé score.
Family score: 8.4. Her father is the retired president of a home building company, and her mother works as a real estate agent. His late father was a pediatrician.
Balance score: 8.8. Although they’re very different individuals, they’re actually fairly well-balanced. And it’s a classic, complementary relationship: she has the youth and looks, and he has the wealth and profesional standing.
Beauty score: 8.5. She’s thin and pretty, but her hairstyle does her a disservice: it’s flat and a bit wispy. If it had more body, it would soften her facial features nicely.
Overall score: 8.68.
Additional comments: They were married in London, where he works. We bet they have a fabulous house. (We’re imagining a mansion like that of the Fedden family in The Line of Beauty.)
2. Aleni Pappas, Anthony Kyriakakis

Résumé score: 9.0. She’s am Amherst grad who is now working in the family business (a fruit juice maker). He’s an assistant U.S. attorney in the prestigious Eastern District of New York, but he’s moving to another prestigious U.S. Attorney’s Office (Eastern District of Pennsylvania — Philadelphia). He went to Yale College (magna) and Harvard Law School (cum laude).
Family score: 8.7. Her father is the CEO of Clement Pappas & Co., the fruit juice maker. His father is a retired diesel mechanic, and his late mother was a saleswoman at a home decoration score.
Balance score: 8.8.
Beauty score: 8.8. Attractive. She has lovely olive skin, and her straight, dark hair is long and lustrous. He exudes an eager, boyish appeal.
Overall score: 8.83.
Additional comments: The Rev. Dr. Costa G. Christo officiated at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Wilmington, Delaware. Was it a Big Fat Greek Wedding? OPA!!!
(Also, “Kyriakakis” — hmm, that’s a mouthful! We don’t blame Aleni for continuing to use her name professionally.)
3. Jessica Tisch, Daniel Levine
Résumé score: 9.3. Jessica and Daniel met at Harvard College, from which both graduated magna. She’s now doing a joint MBA and JD program at Harvard; he’s a second-year at Harvard Business School. Paint this couple crimson!
Family score: 9.4. You might have noticed that her last name is Tisch. And yes, we’re talking about THAT Tisch family. Her father is president and CEO of the Loews Corporation. Her grandfather, Laurence A. Tisch, was a billionaire — and the family still controls the company that he founded. As for his family — oh, who cares about his family! (For the record, his father is a lawyer for the District of Columbia, and his mother is an elementary school art teacher.)
Balance score: 8.3. Daniel seems like a smart and handsome chap. But it’s hard to keep up with a family of billionaires!
Beauty score: 9.1. Jessica and Daniel are easy on the eyes. Jessica’s hair looks red (although we can’t tell for sure from the black and white photo). And we like the swoopy way that she’s styled it. Daniel looks like a younger version of Chief Justice John Roberts — which is high praise, since he’s the #5 superhottie of the federal judiciary.
Overall score: 9.03.
Additional comments: Tisch Tisch Tisch Tisch Tisch. ‘Nuff said.
4. Jennifer Walsh, Stephen Cowen
Résumé score: 9.3. She’s Yale College, Chicago Law, and Kirkland & Ellis (Washington, DC). He’s Harvard College (magna) and Chicago Law, and he’s now clerking for Chief Judge Douglas Ginsburg of the D.C. Circuit. You’re sick of this already, but we’ll quote Borat anyway, ’cause we’re feeling lazy: Very niiiice.
Family score: 9.0. Her father is a partner at Vedder Price; her late mother was an English teacher at New Trier High School (where lots of smart rich kids go). His father is a doctor (an internist), and his mother is a substitute teacher in Ann Arbor.
Balance score: 9.0.
Overall score: 9.10.
Additional comments: At least on the surface, there’s nothing particularly unusual or quirky about Jennifer and Stephen as a couple. They’re two high-powered, well-credentialed lawyers, whose parents are professionals (lawyer, doctor, two teachers). So they don’t get any points for “originality.” But the flawless execution can’t be denied.
