NYU Law students fell on hard times this year in the wake of the recession. Perhaps the administration could have assisted these poor and downtrodden students with their tuition dollars, but instead, NYU Law bought a $3.5 million condo in the West Village.

First things first: screw you, NYU Law. This is basically my dream apartment, and it will forever be my dream apartment, because I don’t even know what planet I’d have to be on to be able to afford something like this.

The school is essentially paying for its professors to have a full-time doorman who can open the door and greet guests decked out in professorial bow-ties before lavish rooftop galas. This is a pretty classy deal for professors.

I mean, I don’t live in New York, but I have a doorman. Sure, he’s usually drunk, he smells bad, and he’s always asking me for spare change, but sometimes he opens the door for me, and that’s pretty swanky in these parts.
