The Sony Network Entertainment International Business and Legal Affairs department has an excellent opportunity for an experienced transactional attorney to provide legal and business support for Sony’s new media initiatives.

Essential responsibilities include:

Drafting and negotiating agreements related to licensing of content (television, films, music, etc.) for distribution through emerging new media platforms; Drafting and negotiating agreements with respect to strategic corporate development arrangements; On-going support in managing partnerships with licensors and partners; and Support with respect to general corporate matters.

Qualifications:
Our successful top-tier law school graduate will possess California Bar admission and must have three to seven years of experience with technology and content licensing at a nationally recognized law firm, technology company or entertainment company. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and communication abilities; demonstrate motivation and initiative; be able to multitask and work quickly and collaboratively under tight deadlines; and be capable of providing insight on both business and legal issues. Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish mandatory.

Position is currently on a contractor basis with potential to turn to a full-time employee
