What Ya Gonna Do, When Gawker Posts A Sex Tape Of You?

Hulk Hogan sues Gawker over leaked sex tape. Yeah "leaked," kind of like how the Hulkster only took "vitamins."

Sorry if I’m a little bit late to this story, but did you know that Hulk Hogan is suing Gawker for posting a sex tape of Hogan and his friend’s wife?

Let me back up: Gawker had a sex tape up with Hulk Hogan. Hogan initially used the Shaggy Defense, then came clean and contended that his friend Todd Clem (aka: Bubba the Love Sponge) set him up with his estranged wife, Heather Clem (pictured, and apparently able to be used as a floatation device in case of emergency).

Hogan claims that he didn’t know the sex (which took place six years ago) had been recorded, and he is suing Todd Clem, Heather Clem, and Gawker for posting the video.

And… did you know the Hulkster’s real name is Terry Bollea?

I’m not as fascinated as others by the slow-moving train wrecks that are aging celebrities. But this is Hulk Hogan. This is a real American. This is a guy who probably really needs the $100 million he’s seeking. From Fox News:

Hogan said in two lawsuits that he had consensual sex with his best friend’s wife, Heather Clem, about six years ago in the Clemses’ home, but he did not know he was being secretly recorded.”Mr. Hogan had a reasonable expectation of his privacy, just as all Americans have a reasonable expectation of their privacy in their bedrooms,” attorney Charles Harder said.

The video was posted on the online gossip site Gawker. Hogan is seeking $100 million in damages from the New York-based media company, which declined comment.

Dear God, as Conan suggested, I think Gawker should have to pay all of us $100 million for putting out a Hulk Hogan sex tape.

Honestly, the hypocrisy of a fading “celebrity” and “reality star” getting pissy over a sex tape they “totally didn’t know” was being made is a little bit much. I’m really supposed to believe that Hulk Hogan was betrayed by his fat best friend and now they’re fighting it out in public? Come on, who would buy that?

I mean, who would buy that again?
