Caption Contest Winner: Go Camping, Catch Your Own Fish, Hunt Your Own Lawyers

If you go camping, you don't need to bring your lawyer -- this town sells 'em fresh.

Last week, we asked readers to submit possible captions for this photo (click to enlarge):

On Friday, you voted on the finalists, and now it’s time to announce the winner of our caption contest…

As is customary with our caption contests, we will now reveal the backstory behind the picture. As we told you previously, this came courtesy of Accidental Flatlander, a meal planning blog, but we bet you didn’t know why this cod-like fish is called “Lawyer” by the locals of Washington Island, Wisconsin. Per the Island’s website, it’s because “the location of [the Lawyer’s] guilty heart is in its Gluteus Max.” Lovely.

Take note, lawyers: your hearts are full of sh*t. Here’s the winning (and totally appropriate) caption:

We used to sell catfish but customers demanded bottom-feeders.

Thanks to everyone for suggesting comments and for voting. If you wrote the winning caption, feel free to email us, subject line “Caption Contest Winner,” to claim your prize (an Above the Law t-shirt).
